Tile Battens and Roofing Strips

Below is a bit of information about tile batts and some specifics about the product we typically provide for our customers.

These battens are necessary when installing roofing tiles. The tile batts elevate the tiles and allow airflow under the tiles so there isn't any rot or decay on the roof from moisture. When installed correctly, there is a 1/2 inch gap between the tile batten furring strips which allows for drainage & moisture to find its way out.

•  1x2x4 (3/4 inches?x1-1/2 inches?x4 inch) tile batten furring strips (1x2x8 also available, but the 4 inch are most used)
• Commonly sub bundled in 24 pc or 25 pc bundles (but can accommodate other bundle sizes on request).
• Each bundle has 2 plastic bands to keep the bundles secured so they can be shipped to job & loaded onto roof without issue.
• Species available: Douglas Fir, Whitewood (SPF), Cedar & Redwood
• Shipped on dry van or flatbed
• We also provide Douglas Fir 1x4 and 2x2 for elevated roof systems. Common length used is 14 inch but we can accommodate any length.
